Police Daily Bulletin
In a typical year, Walnut Creek PD officers respond to some 37,000 calls for
service of all types. That
works out to over 3000 calls per month, or about 100 or so per day. Some
investigations are quickly resolved; however, others may go on for months, or
years.
Our ability to
provide the public with information is governed by various laws, and some cases
and call
information simply cannot be published. Street
addresses are rounded to the nearest hundred block, and the date and time shown is when the incident or crime was reported to us, not
necessarily when it took place. General remarks are noted to explain what
was reported; what the disposition was; and other relevant releasable
information, sensitive information is replaced with (Redacted). We update and publish as often as possible, Monday thru Thursday.
Logs for Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be posted the following week. Only 30
days of log information is available online.
Government Code 6254(f)(3) states in part, "..address information
obtained pursuant to this paragraph may not be used directly or indirectly, or
furnished to another, to sell a product or service to any individual or group of
individuals..."
Confidential information is removed and replaced with (Redacted). The number
following the redacted wording relates to different information, such
as confidential information (01), persons names (02), licenses plates (03) and
alarm information (04).
